![]() Although I liked Iron Marines, Vengeance was a slightly worse than the previous KR games (though it's still a very fun game), and KR Legends, although I enjoyed it very much, has very little content, and it seems it's been abandoned. Recent Ironhide games have been progressively slightly more disappointing to me. I probably won't continue playing the other worlds. It's just boring: I don't know what to say more, besides that I just didn't have any fun at all playing the game.Tower abilities are quite fun, although actually clicking a tower can sometimes be hard due to the clunky controls. Being able to move towers removes the heaviness of choices, and just doen't make sense to me. Not being able to place towers and upgrade during play just removes the satisfying feeling of "tightness" of a last second well chosen upgrade. You can now chose special abilities besides the classic reinforcements and meteor abilities, but there's too many of them (and they're all similar) and their balance is terrible. ![]() Many bold new choices, none well implemented: Besides free tower placement, there are also many other new mechanics that could have been interesting, but don't feel well implemented at all. There are also some minor visual glitches, which is a first for an Ironhide game. Using abilities also often doesn't work well, my cursor instead selecting the enemy or ally instead of using the ability. Being able to place towers anywhere is an interesting new direction, but it is very badly implemented. The graphics, although every level feels the same, are beautiful as always. It's buggy and clunky: I played on my MacBook, as I love playing the beautiful KR games on the big screen.Bosses were particularly easy, I always killed them before they even reached a third of the stage. You also get a lot of plutonium, which allowed me to basically use an XP boost every level and a damage boost every so often without ever running out of plutonium, as I wanted to try out all the towers. It's way too easy: I've finished the first world on Veteran difficulty without ever having to redo a level or breaking a sweat. It all feels very copy-pasted, as opposed to earlier KR games in which every level felt unique and memorable. I can't tell the levels apart, and even the mini-boss of the first world reappears three times. This leads to all of the levels felling very similar. ![]()
